Deadpool just ruined his best chance to be taken seriously
In Marvel Comics' latest Deadpool installment, Wade Wilson misses the chance to be seen as a serious professional assassin.
Warning! This post contains SPOILERS for Deadpool #2
In the latest installment of Marvel's new Deadpool series, Wade Wilson seems to have missed his best chance to be taken seriously as a professional assassin. Deadpool is known as the Merc With the Mouth, and almost every hero, anti-hero, and villain who interacts with him is often seen as incredibly annoying. However, Deadpool would have had a chance at a good reputation, but now it's ruined.
While Deadpool attempted to join the ranks of the prestigious studio, his audition in the form of Assassination did not go as planned. Deadpool has 48 hours to kill Dr. Octopus, Deadpool prepares to kill the main Spider-Man villain before being kidnapped by Harol, a crazy geneticist who tries to grow her inside Deadpool's body His own carnage symbiote (thanks to his unique healing factor). After losing nearly all of his allotted time to fulfill his contract, Wade seemed destined to be a running joke forever after Alyssa Wong and Martin Coccolo's new Deadpool #2.
Will Deadpool Still Become A Member of the Atelier?
While Deadpool does his best to kill Doc Ock and work with the symbiote growing inside him in this issue, he Finally had to retreat. So he actually missed the deadline to kill Octavius. So, it also means that he seems to have missed his first and only chance to become one of the world's most revered assassins.
Having said that, Deadpool retreated to the safehouse of Valentine Vuong, a member of the studio and Wade's contact. Despite the Horned Emperor's instructions not to have any contact with Deadpool (or his partner, Lady Deathstrike) after missing the deadline to kill Doc Ock, they lied on behalf of the duo, claiming they hadn't met Wilson or Yuriko and decided to help Anyway, Wade. So, it's clear that Deadpool's deal with the studio is far from over.
While the studio's rules are pretty clear, it may prove Wade deserves another chance. After all, Deadpool didn't ask to be knocked out and experimented during most of his kill window. Either way, it will be exciting to see what happens to Wade (and his new symbiote) as this new series continues. Deadpool #2 is out now from Marvel Comics.
